The Middle East
The Middle East is a region located in the Western part of Asia. The sixteen Middle Eastern countries include Qatar, Yemen, United Arab Emirates, Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Israel, Bahrain, Egypt, Cyprus, Iran and Syria. The Middle East is a very hot and dry region. The Middle East is a region that is rich with history and technology and throughout its history,
the Middle East has been a major center of world affairs. It is very hot throughout most of the year but occasionally some countries will get snow in the winter. There are many rivers that run through the countries which provide great support for farming. When people hear about the Middle East it is usually because of the amount of crude oil they obtain. Some countries obtain huge quantities of crude oil. The top five countries in the GREATER Middle East are Saudi Arabia which has 262.3 billions of barrels in reserve, Iran with 136.3 billion in its reserve, Iraq with 115 billion barrels, Kuwait obtaining 101 billions of barrels in reserve, and United Arab Emirates with 97.8 billion barrels in its reserve. In total there reserves have a staggering 712.4 billion barrels. The Middle East houses three major religions which include Christianity, Islam, and Judaism. The Middle East has been hit with many conflicts mainly about religion and oil.
